In a bizarre collaboration that breaks traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Revealed
According to the authorized release, "An unusual meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous transformations reverberate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden group.
The adventure centers on "peculiar tests and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Bonus Features
Players who finish the mission will acquire an special katana alongside several objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
