This young athlete boasts substantial online audience
Kai Trump can count on numerous well-known supporters as she starts her LPGA debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a special exemption to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
The former president, someone who loves golf, owns multiple golf courses and regularly plays against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
Kai explained that Trump, who won't be present, advised her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa practically told me to play and relax," she added.
"To me, he's just a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, making him quite busy."
Being non-professional, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions recently and holds the 461st position in AJGA standings.
Yet she can get advice from golf legend, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He stands as the top athlete globally," the young golfer said.
"And he's a superior human being. He advised me to compete, relax, adapting to the flow."
The golfer will compete against several the biggest names in professional golf at the Annika, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Officials mentioned that her participation exposes golf to different demographics, especially among youth audiences.
Kai has substantial online presence and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
